Also, it is the <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Best-selling video game of all time\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Best-selling_video_game_of_all_time\">best-selling video game of all time<\/a>, with 200 million copies sold across all platforms and 126 million <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Monthly active users\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Monthly_active_users\">monthly active users<\/a> as of 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Well, research has shown our brains are \u201cwired for pleasure, \u201d and that games constitute an effective way of learning as they simulate adventure and keep our brains engaged and happy. In this context, Minecraft is no longer a new tool in the field of game-based learning.<\/p>\n<p>The game promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is the limit of your imagination.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>CLASSROOM BUILD CHALLENGE: &#8220;<\/strong><strong>Things from the Futures&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>TIME <\/strong>20-30 min<\/li>\n<li><strong>SKILLS <\/strong>Futures Literacy, Creativity, Collaboration, Problem Solving<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.futures.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Things-From-The-Future.mcworld.zip\">Download <strong>WORLD<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Work individually or in teams to imagine and create things from different futures.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>HOW TO PLAY<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Discover the Oracle and visit all the 4 temples to collect hints about the \u201cthing from the future\u201d:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>1.ARC (Green Temple):<\/strong> <\/span>Outlines the type of future world that the &#8220;thing&#8221; comes from, and how far away. There are 4 types of ARC futures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Growth: a Future in which progress has continued.<\/li>\n<li>Collapse: a Future in which society as we know it has come apart.<\/li>\n<li>Discipline: a Future in which order is coordinated or imposed.<\/li>\n<li>Transformation: a Future in which a profound historical evolution has occurred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>2.TERRAIN (Blue Temple)<\/strong>:<\/span> Provides the thematic context or location where the object could be found in that Future.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>3.OBJECT (Orange Temple)<\/strong>:<\/span> Is the focus of your imagination. An artifact that reveals something about how this future is different from today.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>4.<\/strong><strong>MOOD (Purple Temple)<\/strong>:<\/span> Suggests how it might feel to experience this thing from the Future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Challenge yourself by discovering and creating as many things as you can from the future within a time limit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>EXTENSIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use a camera to take pictures of your creations and share them with your class. You can also send them to <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"mailto:futures@praxinetwork.gr\">futures@praxinetwork.gr<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>or share them through social media using the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>#MinecraftThingsFromTheFutures<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Consider what type these futures look like.<\/li>\n<li>Write a paragraph about what you built and why. How does that future look like?
