UNESCO Chair on Futures Research joins the World Futures Studies Federation

UNESCO Chair on Futures Research_FORTH/PRAXI Network joins the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF).

WFSF, founded in 1973, has been a valuable UNESCO and UN consultative partner for several decades. The Federation is a global NGO with members in over 60 countries.

WFSF brings together academics, researchers, practitioners, students and futures-focused institutions from all around the globe. It provides a significant platform for the dissemination of futures work, best practice exchange and networking with a view to promoting Futures Research and practice worldwide.

It is a great honor for our team (Epaminondas, Irianna and George) to join and actively participate in the WFSF!

About the author

Irianna Lianaki – Dedouli is Coordinator for Research and Training Activities at UNESCO Chair on Futures Research, hosted in Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH). She also acts as focal point for Futures Literacy. In the past, Irianna has worked as consultant for intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations including UNESCO’s Foresight Unit and UNESCO’s Intersectoral Platform for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence and Intercultural Dialogue. She is a PhD Candidate in Turku School of Economics. Her research focuses on futures literacy and intercultural communication.
